Moving from Summer to School!

Greetings from your Pastor (the old one),
Summer is always a great time for family and the events that it brings. This summer has been especially delightful because of the unusually moderate temperature and rainfall. I trust yours has been as enjoyable as mine has been. However, summer is nearly over and we will begin to think about raking leaves and firewood before long. I am sure many of our children are already in anxious anticipation of the coming school year. After all who really wants to stay home and play at leisure activities when you can be stimulating the thinking corpuscles of your brain! RIGHT KIDS?
The fall brings with it lots of church activities that we want to think about and prepare to plan. Our Christmas Cantata, Fall Festival, Revival, Bible Studies, etc.. Mixing those into the busy school and work schedule can and will be challenging. But please make sure all church activities have a healthy priority in your family. If it is not a priority to you it will not be a priority for your children either. I hope and pray we continue to build strong families here at Union Hill and participation in the activities here may be helpful. So come on, let those summer days fade and bring on the new school year!

Great, inspiring sermon today. Reminder of why God saved us-to be the light in the darkness.
