Back In The Saddle

Good Morning to All;

I’m back in the office for the first time.  It took me longer than expected but here I am!  I want to thank everyone for the cards, e-mail,visits and phone calls during my time off for surgery.  God as always is GOOD!  Today will be interesting to see what I can tolerate and how it will affect me.  However it turns out, it is good to get back to my life!

A young man was picking cotton one hot summer day and he began to talk to the Lord.  “Lord this cotton is so grassy, these rows are so long, this mule is so slow and I’m so tired, I believe I’ve been called to preach!”

Alice Faye Campbell

Faye is in St. Mary’s Hospital today with an amputation of her foot scheduled today due to complications from diabetes.  Keep Faye in your prayers today around noon.

Larry Wolfmeier

Bro. Larry is in Barnes Hospital today having a heart cath.  He went into the hospital last evening and is needing some test done to make sure he is not rejecting his heart.  Please pray for Carol and Larry as they go through this difficult time.

Frank’s Funny

A sweet lady stopped by my office this week and shared with me her gratitude for me being her pastor.  She said, “until you came to be my pastor I never really understood sin”!

I always try to be a good example.

VBS

WOW!  Thank you to everyone who had a part in making our VBS such a tremendous success.  We had a great week and plenty of help and a whole lot of fun!  God has blessed us this last week!  Thank you Lord!

I was Thinking!

I can think of about 16 reasons to pray:

God commands it.

Jesus did it.

The early church did it.

Prayer defeats Satan.

Prayer leads sinners to repentance.

It restores the backslider.

Strengthens the Saints.

Sends us to labor.

Heals the sick.

Glorifies God.

Accomplishes the impossible.

Gives us the blessings of God.

Imparts wisdom.

Bestows peace.

Keeps us from sin.

Reveals God and His will to us.

Just A Thought

Psalm 139: 1 To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. O LORD, thou hast searched me, and known me.
2  Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising, thou understandest my thought afar off.
3  Thou compassest my path and my lying down, and art acquainted with all my ways.
4  For there is not a word in my tongue, but, lo, O LORD, thou knowest it altogether.
5  Thou hast beset me behind and before, and laid thine hand upon me.
6  Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high, I cannot attain unto it.

Louise Ward 92 of Duncan, Okla. went home to be the Lord on Friday. Louise is Tony Wards mother and longtime acquaintance of Bro. Frank and Shelly.  Remember Tony and His Dad  Granville Ward and their family.  Memorial services for Louise will be Tuesday in Duncan, Oklahoma.
